Mark Trudel graduated from the University of Connecticut with a major in Economics in 1983. He began his insurance career in 1984 with Skandia America Reinsurance Co. as a reinsurance underwriter. Mark joined Balis & Co. Inc in 1987 as a reinsurance broker. Mark was responsible for servicing several of Farm Mutual’s reinsurance needs. In 1989 Mark joined GMI. Mark oversees all aspects of the company operations. He supervises the underwriting, marketing, accounting, computer systems, and administration and claims operations of GMI. Mark is personally involved in underwriting new and renewal business. Mark was appointed President of GMI in 1994.
Karen graduated from the University of Maryland in 1985. She is a certified Pennsylvania Property/Casualty Insurance Agent and Pennsylvania Property/Casualty Insurance Broker. Karen joined GMI in 1991 and is responsible for all internal operations and oversees all marketing and sales activities. Karen was promoted to Chief Operating Officer of GMI in 2007. As a charter member of Target Markets Program Administrators Association (TMPAA), GMI has been an active agency member. In 2009, Karen was elected to the Board of Directors of TMPAA..
Carter Trudel graduated from Brown University in 1992 with a major in Mathematical Economics. He began his insurance career with Transatlantic Reinsurance Company in 1992. He was a Reinsurance treaty underwriter specializing in Finite Treaty. Carter joined GMI in 1994 as their CFO. He is responsible for the day-to-day financial operations. Carter develops the financial business plan based on monthly balance sheet analysis and cash flow analysis. He also reviews and determines the financial stability of insureds and this analysis is included in the underwriting process.
Michael graduated Cum Laude from Villanova University with a major in Finance in 1989. He graduated from Widener University School of Law and was awarded his J.D. in 1992. Michael was a member of the American Bar Association, Law Student Division and is trained in Westlaw and Advanced Lexis. Michael began his legal career with the Office of the Attorney General. In 1991 Michael then joined a Philadelphia private practice as a law clerk. In 1994 Michael joined GMI as Vice President, Legal Counsel. He evaluates all claims and losses and determines GMI’s legal obligations. Michael also supervises all investigative and claims settlement procedures.
